First stop was Imintji Roadhouse – cheap fuel and kangaroo pies for morning tea. Yum! We met an aboriginal painter called Mick who sells all his art to a Melbourne art-house. Not available to tourists.
I thought yesterday was hot – today was above 40˚C! On the way to Barnett Roadhouse we stopped at Galvin gorge. This was a little oasis. It was a short walk to the wonderful swimming spot off the Gibb River Rd. Again, another chance for a water jump which even I did. There was also some aboriginal artwork on the walls so we knew it was a special place.
